In June 1961, legendary pianist Bill Evans’ trio performs in New York.  Live recordings that night will produce two of the greatest jazz albums of all time.  Ten days later, bassist Scott LaFaro dies in a tragic accident and Evans stops playing.

Gee’s biopic follows Evans as he navigates grief, addiction and complex family dynamics before returning to music.

Ym mis Mehefin 1961, mae triawd y pianydd chwedlonol Bill Evans yn perfformio yn Efrog Newydd. Bydd recordiadau byw o’r noson honno yn arwain at greu dau o’r albymau jazz gorau erioed. Deg diwrnod yn ddiweddarach, mae’r chwaraewr bas Scott LaFaro yn marw mewn damwain drasig ac mae Evans yn rhoi’r gorau i chwarae.

Mae ffilm fywgraffyddol Gee yn dilyn Evans wrth iddo ymdopi â galar, caethiwed a deinameg deuluol gymhleth cyn dychwelyd at gerddoriaeth.
