Nadia Fall’s impressive debut film is essentially an adolescent road movie, following two British Muslim girls, Doe and Muna, who make the decision to leave the UK for Syria.

The film’s focus is the intensity of this adolescent relationship, and there are moments of chaos and dark comedy in their search for freedom and belonging.

Mae ffilm gyntaf rhyfeddol Nadia Fall yn frwydr ffyrdd ieuenctid yn bennaf, gan ddilyn dau ferch Fwslimaidd Prydeinig, Doe a Muna, sy'n gwneud y penderfyniad i adael y DU i fynd i Syria.

Ffocws y ffilm yw dwyster y berthynas ieuenctid hon, ac mae yna eiliadau o anhrefn a chomedïa ddu yn eu hymchwil am ryddid a chysylltedd.

Mae actores uchelgeisiol yn dilyn ei breuddwydion theatr gerddorol er gwaethaf gwrthwynebiad ei mam. Drwy goginio prydau traddodiadol gyda'i gilydd, mae mam a merch yn dod o hyd i ddealltwriaeth gyffredin.

Mae'r comedi gerddorol gynnes hon yn darlunio nid yn unig y llafurion a wynebir gan artistiaid Ffrengiaid-Fietnam, ond hefyd ochr o Baris sydd yn anaml yn cael ei dangos ar sgrin.

The Audience

By Peter Morgan

Directed by Stephen Daldry

Returning to cinemas for the first time in over a decade, Helen Mirren plays Queen Elizabeth II in the Olivier and Tony Award® -winning hit production, directed by Stephen Daldry.

For 60 years, Queen Elizabeth II met with each of her 12 prime ministers in a private weekly meeting. This meeting is known as The Audience. From Winston Churchill to Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron, the Queen advised her prime ministers on matters both public and personal. Through these private audiences, we see glimpses of the woman behind the crown and witness the moments that shaped a monarch.

Peter Morgan’s Netflix phenomenon The Crown was based on this hit play that was captured live from London’s West End in 2013 and went on to become one of the most-watched NT Live productions.

The Audience

Gan Peter Morgan

Cyfarwyddwr: Stephen Daldry

Gan ddychwelyd i sinemâu am y tro cyntaf ers dros ddegawd, mae Helen Mirren yn chwarae rhan y Frenhines Elizabeth II mewn cynhyrchiad llwyddiannus a enillodd Wobrau Olivier a Tony®, wedi'i gyfarwyddo gan Stephen Daldry.

Am 60 mlynedd, cyfarfu'r Frenhines Elizabeth II â phob un o'i 12 prif weinidog mewn cyfarfod wythnosol preifat. Gelwir y cyfarfod hwn yn y ‘The Audience’. O Winston Churchill i Margaret Thatcher a David Cameron, cynghorodd y Frenhines ei phrif weinidogion ar faterion cyhoeddus a phersonol. Trwy'r cyfarfodydd preifat hyn, gwelwn gipolwg ar y fenyw y tu ôl i'r goron ac yn dyst i'r eiliadau a greodd frenhines.

Roedd ffenomen Netflix Peter Morgan, The Crown, yn seiliedig ar y ddrama boblogaidd hon a ddaeth yn fyw o’r West End yn Llundain yn 2013 ac a aeth ymlaen i fod yn un o gynyrchiadau mwyaf poblogaidd NT Live.

Giselle

The Royal Ballet

The peasant girl Giselle has fallen in love with Albrecht. When she discovers that he is actually a nobleman promised to another, she kills herself in despair. Her spirit joins the Wilis: the vengeful ghosts of women hell-bent on killing any man who crosses their path in a dance to the death.  Wracked with guilt, Albrecht visits Giselle’s grave, where he must face the Wilis – and Giselle’s ghost.

Peter Wright’s 1985 production of this quintessential Romantic ballet is a classic of The Royal Ballet repertory. Set to Adolphe Adam’s evocative score and with atmospheric designs by John Macfarlane, Giselle conjures up the earthly and otherworldly realms in a tale of love, betrayal and redemption.

Mae'r ferch werinol Giselle wedi syrthio mewn cariad ag Albrecht. Pan mae hi'n darganfod ei fod mewn gwirionedd yn ŵr o dras uchel, addawol, ac wedi troi at un arall, mae hi'n lladd ei hun mewn anobaith. Mae ei hysbryd yn ymuno â'r Wilis: ysbrydion dialgar menywod sy'n benderfynol o ladd unrhyw ddyn sy'n croesi eu llwybr mewn dawns i farwolaeth. Wedi'i ladd gan euogrwydd, mae Albrecht yn ymweld â bedd Giselle, lle mae'n rhaid iddo wynebu'r Wilis - ac ysbryd Giselle.

Mae cynhyrchiad Peter Wright o'r bale Rhamantaidd nodweddiadol hwn ym 1985 yn glasur o repertoire The Royal Ballet. Wedi'i osod i sgôr atgofus Adolphe Adam a chyda dyluniadau atmosfferig gan John Macfarlane, mae Giselle yn dwyn i gof y byd daearol a'r byd arall mewn stori o gariad, brad ac iachawdwriaeth.
