30 years ago, West Wales became the centre of world news when the tanker, Sea Empress, struck rocks at the entrance of Milford Haven. While bad weather hampered the rescue, 72,000 tonnes of crude oil escaped.

This is the story of the disaster, and subsequent massive effort to clean Pembrokeshire’s beaches. There was also a Goodwick connection!

Virginia Woolf defied literary conventions to depict rich inner worlds – her heightened, startling and poignant reality.

Resident Choreographer Wayne McGregor leads a luminous artistic team to evoke Woolf’s signature stream of consciousness writing style in this immense work that rejects traditional narrative structures. Woolf Works is a collage of themes from Mrs Dalloway, Orlando, The Waves and Woolf’s other writings.

Created in 2015 for The Royal Ballet, this Olivier-award winning ballet triptych captures the heart of Woolf’s uniquely artistic spirit.

As part of WOW Around Wales, the year-round touring programme of WOW Film Festival that brings bold, socially engaged cinema to communities across Wales, we are proud to present The Voice of Hind Rajab, a powerful and urgent cinematic experience that transcends traditional documentary form.

Directed by Academy Award–nominated filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania, The Voice of Hind Rajab bears witness to the killing of six-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab, who was trapped in a car under Israeli military fire in Gaza on January 29, 2024. Through the use of real emergency call recordings and carefully constructed re-enactments based on first-hand testimony and transcripts, the film reconstructs the hours during which Hind remained alive, alone, and pleading for help as Red Crescent dispatchers desperately tried to reach her.

This is a film that demands not only empathy, but attention; a testament to Palestinian lives, to resistance through truth-telling, and to cinema’s power to confront injustice and amplify silenced voices.

With the National Eisteddfod visiting Pembrokeshire in 2026, it is appropriate for us to honour one of its most famous sons, the poet and peace campaigner, Waldo Williams.

In this Welsh language presentation, we will look at the close connection between his life experiences, his philosophical ideals and poems, and consider the relevance of his words in today’s world.

This performance is supported by the Arts Council of Wales’ Night Out Scheme.
