Recent Archaeological Discoveries in Cwm Gwaun and Beyond

Cwm Gwaun lies within the rich archaeological landscape for which Pembrokeshire is renowned. Recent investigations have made it clear that there is far more archaeology to discover in the valley and surrounding areas of Fishguard and Goodwick.

The speaker, Paul Cheetham has been working alongside local landowners and farmers to address this gap in our knowledge. This talk will reveal remarkable discoveries—some of national importance—that have lain hidden beneath our feet, gone unrecognised, or remained largely unknown to the public and to the profession.

A young idealistic prosecutor, Alexander Kornyer, brilliantly played by Alexandr Kuznetsov, attempts to pursue justice by taking the case of an unjustly incarcerated and tortured political prisoner to a higher authority in Moscow.  The prisoner, Stepniak, (Alexandr Filippenko) is a former Bolshevik prosecutor.

The tense storyline, with a sense of mounting dread, fully portrays the futility of the young prosecutor's quest for truth in the face of totalitarian bureaucracy in 1937 USSR.
