Mewn Cymeriad Present: The Window From Wales

Take a journey across continents and through time to uncover the powerful story of how a horrific act of murder in 1963 Alabama ignited a quiet flame of compassion in the heart of a Welsh artist.

Rallying together a small nation to offer a symbol of hope — A gesture from Wales that stood against racism and injustice in the darkest of times.

This is the story of John Petts and how the "Window of Wales," a stained-glass gift offered solidarity to the 16th Street Baptist Church.

But over half a century later, we have to ask: how much has really changed from then to now?

This performance is supported by the Arts Council of Wales’ Night Out Scheme.

Cymerwch daith ar draws cyfandiroedd ac drwy amser i ddatgelu’r stori rymus o sut y taniodd gweithred erchyll o lofruddiaeth yn Alabama yn 1963 fflam dawel o dosturi yng nghalon artist o Gymru.

Cododd cenedl fechan at ei gilydd i gynnig symbol o obaith - arwydd o Gymru a safodd yn erbyn hiliaeth ac anghyfiawnder yn y cyfnodau tywyllaf.

Dyma stori John Petts a sut y daeth “Window of Wales,” rhodd o wydr lliw, yn arwydd o undod i "16th Street Baptist Church." Ond dros hanner canrif yn ddiweddarach, rhaid inni ofyn: faint sydd wirioneddol wedi newid rhwng hynny a nawr?

Cefnogir y perfformiad hwn gan Gynllun Noson Allan Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru.
