In November of last year, Bardo Showtime staged a celebration of David Bowie’s talents as a songwriter, singer and producer. The riotous glam rock gig fronted by collaborators David Pepper and Chase Valentin, was a one-off performance to raise funds towards Theatr Gwaun’s stage tech upgrade. But after a few ch-ch-changes to the lineup, instrumentation and playlist, they’re back. With sleeker staging and a more soulful delivery, the show features songs from their original show by Bowie and some of his contemporaries, including Lou Reed, Nina Simone and Jacques Brel.
Just one more time. Maybe.
